Objective: To engineer and deploy a scalable hospital management system with robust role-based access control (RBAC) and real-time analytics, tailored for Indian healthcare institutions.

India's hospitals, especially in urban and semi-urban regions, face significant challenges managing patient records, appointments, inventory, and compliance due to fragmented, legacy software and manual data handling. This affects hospital administrators, doctors, staff, and patients, resulting in inefficiencies, data breaches, and poor resource planning.

This project proposes a cloud-native hospital management system (HMS) engineered for secure, scalable multi-user operations. The platform employs role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure compliance with privacy norms, while integrated analytics modules provide actionable insights for hospital administrators and clinicians. The system is designed for deployment on public cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure), leveraging modern DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery.

Key deliverables include: a web-based HMS with secure user authentication, RBAC for doctors, nurses, admin, and patients, modules for electronic medical records (EMR), appointment scheduling, pharmacy and inventory management, and a dashboard for real-time analytics (e.g., patient inflow, bed occupancy, inventory alerts). The working model is deployed on cloud, accessible via browser, and demonstrated live with test data for multiple hospital roles.

This platform can dramatically improve operational transparency, data security, and decision-making in Indian hospitals while laying the foundation for interoperability with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) standards. The system is engineered for scalability, enabling deployment in small clinics up to multi-specialty hospitals.
